During the summer members received surveys they were asked to fill out and return. Comments coming in earlier on returned renewal forms gave us some indication of just how much we need this information.
For instance, while one member asks for a meeting in Esssex County, another suggests the Barrie area. One member suggests Sundays for tours, the next is adamant they wouldn't come to any events on a Sunday, and yet another suggests a weekday. Some members want more information on useful ecological practices in the newsletter - that's the reason why we, the editors, continually urge members to pass on helpful ideas in articles. Other members want us to more actively pursue spreading our message outside of the organization. One suggested using E-mail as an information avenue. Several members simply said they appreciated receiving a renewal notice, something which we hope will happen automatically in future. Commonly requested topics for courses include permaculture and agroforestry, community sponsored agriculture, local promotion and marketing of crops, and more on horticulture. Whatever your interests and needs are, we ask you to find the time to fill out the survey and send it in. This is the only way the directors can be certain we are heading in the right direction. We thank those who've already done so.
